Cherries ‘n Berries
As promised, here are the delicious strawberries. The cherries are an heirloom variety known as Coral Cherries. They are the best cherries I’ve ever had. This was a shot done in my window again for the nice lighting. If anyone wants to, have a moment of silence for this fruit. It was promptly devoured by the kids after I was done shooting.

These look positively SCRUMPTIOUS!
I can just imagine the kids… “But, daaaaaad, we wanna EAT them NOW!”

They really wanted those strawberries! They were almost the size of small apples. Thank you much, Tracy!

They do look GOOD!! I like how you arranged them, and the lighting is really nice.
… and mix with sour cream. Then add sugar to taste. My kids love it, but my hubby hates it (more for us!)
If you’re not watching your calories, I have a great recipe for those strawberries (my mom used to make it every summer). Mash the strawberries with a fork… work off some of those calories in advance!

Sour cream and strawberries.. not something I would have ever thought of on my own. I am curious but very skeptical.
Thanks, Michaela

MMMM, so RED, sweet, and delicious!!! Perfect shot! Did you throw caution to the wind – kids about not eating too many cheeries and strawberries? They’re sooo good, but can leave a bad stomach.
Love your photos, Sean!

Thanks much Tri! I’m always after the perfect shot.
There weren’t many here, so it was a limited amount. These were just sitting on a saucer so it may feel like there were more beyond the edges of the frame. Just the 4 berries and 8 cherries and I didn’t let them get all the strawberries.

Beautiful colour, beautiful lighting and beautiful composition. The little water droplets really set it off. I’m generally hopeless at these kind of shots, I just need to keep practicing and looking at great examples like this one I guess.

I’m glad someone noticed the water droplets. That was very intentional to really make it all the more mouthwatering. I thought your cookie shot was great. For me I think lighting in food makes all the difference. It’s a fine line between the same arrangement looking delicious and looking stale. Thanks!

Good, rich color in this shot. It really makes the fruit look as delicious as it apparently was!
