Maui Madness
Okay, to come clean, work wasn’t the only reason I haven’t been posting.
Earlier this month we took a week-long vacation to Maui to enjoy the nice warm weather, water and relax. Photography on a family vacation isn’t the easiest thing to get out and do, but I did manage to get a few decent images from the trip. We’ll start with my daughter having a blast on the boogie board at Ulua State Beach. In the background you can see the West Maui Mountains. The vacation was a blast and the family had a great time.
I love this shot since it just freezes the excitement perfectly and has a decent amount of location orientation included.

Maui??!! How awesome! And I absolutely LOVE this shot. Were you in the water with them? The picture pulls me in and makes me feel like I am enjoying the moment with them. Well done!

Thanks Amber! Yeah, I was about hip-deep in the water to get the shot. Everything came together with this shot.

That is SUCH a cool shot!!
I was wondering, too, if you were in the water. I would never be brave enough to take my camera into the water… not with those kinds of waves! LOL

I was nervous in the water, that’s for sure. I rationalized my way into it thinking that the good shots only come if you get in the middle of it.
The waves weren’t too big, it just looks that way. That specific wave was probably 1-2 feet high.

Yoy sly dog, you! Maui???! That’s incredible! I hope to get there some day.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this shot! I imagine you got wet!

It’s a fun place, everyone had a blast, definitely make an effort to get out there.
Thanks much, Tracy, it’s one of my favorites. Isn’t getting wet half the fun?
