Three Twos and an Entry

This evening’s Light & Shadow Camera Club competition went pretty good.  The categories this evening for digital were Monochrome, Color Pictorial, Nature and Creative.  All of my entries except monochrome held a second place.  No real critical commentary on the images this time around from the judge.  Overall all of the submissions were really strong and I’m more than pleased to have been awarded seconds.

All worthy winners Sean. I do like ‘A view to something more beautiful’ – a powerful image. ‘Salsify Seeds’ is a great one too. If it didn’t ‘place’ there must have been some great entries (IMHO)! I shall go and take a look. 🙂

    • Thanks, Tracy. Yeah, it was good. Several shots in all categories, especially the print ones, I was really impressed by. I don’t mind losing to that crowd. 🙂

  5. Congrats on the photo club Sean. Supported Asymmetry is an interesting composition. You really nailed the mirror effect on that one (at least I think that’s what you did there).

    • Thanks, MIke. It’s almost a mirror effect. The top is really a rotation of 180 degrees. It made lining up the light posts and fences a bit tricky, but I got it to work.
