Flamingo Staredown

Flamingo Staredown

We hit the Santa Barbara Zoo today for Father’s Day.  The shutter was clicking and I managed to get a few decent shots.  This is a sleeping flamingo that was somewhat curious in what I was up to, but not enough to remove its beak from under his wing.

    • Occasionally, noon lighting can work. Who knew. 🙂 Yeah, I kept getting stares from the animals that day.

  5. Hello Sean. Lovely shot with great detail to the bird’s feathers. What lens did you use?

    • Hey Vince, my apologies on the late response. This was shot with my 28-135mm f3.6-5.4 lens.

Luckily, that bird was about 20 inches from the end of my lens. 🙂
